36 Weeks

How far along? 36 Weeks!
Total weight gain:  ≈17.6
Maternity clothes? They are getting too small! My maternity shirts are showing "under belly" and I don't even attempt to wear real pants on most days...all about the stretchy dresses and skirts!
Stretch marks? It's hard to tell right now but it looks like the one I got last time is getting larger and I can't see around my full belly to know if I have any new ones.
Sleep: Last night I was up all night-it feels like my brain is just go-go-go and I am having a hard time settling into sleep.
Best moment this weekGetting the final touches on her room finished and beginning our Fall decorating! My mama sent her quilt and pillow and I love, love, love them! I finally got to take and share photos of her completed nursery and it is making me so excited for her arrival! Starting to feel more real! <3 Micah and I had fun decorating the house and his room for Halloween. I love holidays with kiddos-it's seriously the best!
Miss anything?Being a normal size person! I am soon uncomfortable and my belly hurts! I pulled a muscle in my stomach and it's been very painful picking Micah up and bending down..doing most things I have to do several times a day.
Movement: They are less than before, probably because she is running out of room but she still gives us a little dance after dinner!
Cravings: Crushed iced and sparkling water is my favorite thing right now, still enjoying my chocolate chips!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yes....moving around!
Showing? Yes
Gender: Girl!!
Labor signs: Braxton hicks, baby girl is VERY low and making it hard to move and not pee my pants!
Symptoms:
CONSTANT peeing!
Belly button in or out? O-U-T
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: It depends on the day and circumstances I can feel very very happy or very very sad!
Looking forward to: It feels like it's really getting close now that we are officially in the month of September! Baby girl will be here in just a few short weeks and it's crazy because even though sometimes it feels like I have been waiting forever, suddenly it feels crazy that it's coming up so fast. I am so excited to meet her, hold her, and kiss her! (And dress her up in all her adorable outfits, headbands, and shoes!!!) <3
Baby’s size: Papaya!

33 Weeks, 7 weeks left until baby girl

How far along? 33 Weeks!
Total weight gain:  ≈ 15 lbs
Maternity clothes? Yes mostly stretchy dresses and maxi skirts
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleep has been difficult lately, I wake up to pee so many times every single night and it's become harder for me to fall asleep again after. Two nights ago I had an incredibly embarrassing moment where I got up to pee and ran sack into the door jam and got  a huge bump on my head an knee...I had a headache all day yesterday but I think my pride was the most hurt. Hubby heard the loud noise and sprang out of bed and found me on the floor, lol.
Best moment this week: The nursery is pretty much done which feels awesome! Most of her little clothes are washed and hung or folded and I LOVE looking through her outfits! She is already stylin' and I cannot wait to play dress up! My mama is working on her quilt and once she sends it then I can add it to the nursery and take pictures of the whole shebang!
Miss anything? It's definitely getting harder for me to move around lately and it hurts if I try to sit or lie down in certain positions. I miss being able to do my fun workouts at Max!
Movement: Yes she moves a lot and I love watching my belly pop out and go back and forth! It's so crazy to see little knees and elbows poke out and makes me so excited to hold and meet her. Being pregnant is a really cool experience and I feel very lucky I get to experience it.
Anything making you queasy or sick: If I overeat or try to put my foot up on the bathroom counter to do my toes....haha.  I am still learning my new movement limitations!
Showing? Yes! But it's finally seemed to slow down and be more in pace with my size during my pregnancy with Micah...for awhile there I was worried!
Gender: Baby girl!
Labor signs: No
Symptoms:
Lots of peeing! About every 5 minutes in fact.... Braxton hicks, some low back pain, but can't complain too much overall.
Belly button in or out? O-U-T
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time:
Moody, darn hormones. ;)
Looking forward to: My mama finishing the quilt so I can wrap up the nursery and hearing baby's heartbeat at our next midwife appointment.
Baby’s size:A bunch of celery!

31 Weeks

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks!! Only 10 weeks to go!!!
Total weight gain:  ≈ 14.4 lbs (This is crazy, the exact amount of weight I had gained with Micah at 30 weeks!)
Maternity clothes? Yes I just had to buy a couple more things this weekend actually, feels like a waste of money because I only will wear it for another 10 or so weeks but very necessary to have some extra things to squeeze into!
Stretch marks? I honestly can't tell for sure, I know the one that was on my belly button from Micah has gotten much larger but I can't tell if there are any others. Probably won't know for sure until I shrink back to size after baby comes.
Sleep: It's been harder to fall asleep lately.
Best moment this week: Baby shower! My girlfriend Heather threw me a wonderful baby shower on Sunday! I am so grateful for all of the time, hardwork, and money she put into it-it truly made me feel special. Baby girl was SPOILED! She has more clothes than the rest of the family combined (ok perhaps I am exaggerating but she got a ton of clothes, people really love buying baby girl clothes! It was really nice and I am so grateful to everyone who came out. I feel blessed to have such amazing friends and family!
I also finished Micah's baby book this week which was a HUGE relief for me! I have had the goal of finishing it forever, but I knew I had to get it done before baby #2 made her debut. I ran out of pages before I completed the last three months (111 pages----eek!) so I had to do a brief snapshot of those months, but I am excited to get it in the mail and see how it turned out. I am hoping it is nice because I worked on it for months!!!
Miss anything? All the parties this week had me missing mimosas! I also miss the cold weather...I wanted a Fall baby because it's my favorite season but summer pregnancy is not the business. And that tiny little part where California doesn't really get a Fall... but I refuse to let my Fall fantasies go!
Movement:  She is moving pretty often and Daddy is finally getting to feel her move more, she usually likes to play tricks on him and stop moving as soon as he puts a hand on my belly but lately he's been awed by how many somersaults and kicks she does!
Food cravings: Last pregnancy I also had a brunch baby shower and after the fact got hooked on bagels with vegan cream cheese, tomato, and avocado. Since my baby shower was this week I guess it reminded me and I jumped back on the bagel wagon with my favorite Kite Hill Almond Cream Cheese from Whole Foods.. So. Good.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yes this heat is making me nauseous as well as the intensity of my braxton hicks sometimes.
Showing? My lovely baby bump is quite ginormous these days.
Gender: Baby Girl!!! <3 <3 <3
Labor signs: Lots of Braxton Hicks/tightening.
Symptoms:
Sleepy, emotional, slightly frantic! :)
Belly button in or out? SO OUT!
Wedding rings on or off? On, although tighter in this gross heat
Happy or moody most of the time:
Definitely grumpier this time around hahah I think mostly it's the heat that is making me feel grumpy and swollen. I also just feel soooooo pregnant, hard to move, bend over, get off the couch, climb up to get things etc.
Looking forward to:Finishing baby girl's nursery and ordering the items I still need off my registry. I am excited to wash all of her clothes and blankets and put them away (ok so maybe not so excited about the actual washing part but excited to get it done and checked off my list!)
Baby’s size: A large cabbage or a cucumber!

Some photos from the shower!

29 Weeks shot. We skipped 28 weeks and never got around to the update...sorry baby!

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 weeks!!
Total weight gain:  ≈ 13.4 lbs
Maternity clothes? My maternity shorts I bought in the first trimester no longer fit (so sad) so I've been rocking a lot of stretchy dresses and skirts.
Stretch marks? I don't think so but it's harder to tell now since the skin is so stretched out and I can't see my entire belly. Still slathering on the belly oils religiously.
Sleep: Not so great this week as big brother Micah has been having a VERY hard time falling and staying asleep. Not sure what's going on with our little guy but it's been sad and hard on all of us. Hoping to help him through it soon!
Best moment this week: We've had a few fun days with Micah this week we went do the zoo for a birthday party last Sunday and on Friday we went to the splash pad at a new park. Hubby and I got to go on an impromptu date night thanks to a surprise offer to babysit from Grandma Lind and Grandpa Sam. Much needed and very enjoyable!
Miss anything? Sleep! Wine!
Movement: Lots and lots although she still loves to play tricks on daddy by staying completely still as soon as he comes over to feel her move! ;)
Food cravings: No, but I made an amazing batch of chocolate chunk cookies this week and we all devoured them. Nothing like a rough week of parenting and very little sleep to get you on the cookie train!
Anything making you queasy or sick:
I have been feeling a bit sick all week, very tight tummy and just overall queasiness.
Showing? Oh yeah!
Gender: Baby girl, although I have had comments about how I look like I am having a boy from quite a few people and with only one ultrasound and a bit nervous! Especially as we are almost done decorating the nursery and I am already quite attached my my little baby girl!
Labor signs: Braxton hicks! A lot of tightening!
Symptoms:
Getting a bit harder to move around these days!
Belly button in or out? Very much out.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time:
Pretty normal
Looking forward to:I am taking my Law & Ethics exam this coming week so while I am not looking forward to it, I am looking forward to being done with it! Fingers crossed!
Baby’s size: Lettuce!

25 Weeks

How far along? 25 weeks!!
Total weight gain:  ≈ 13 lbs
Maternity clothes? Even those are feeling small! Ay! I had to go to Old Navy and get another maternity dress and I think I'll need to buy at least one more stretchy dress to get me through this hot summer. It's the only thing that fits comfortably.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: It's been hit or miss.
Best moment this week: We hung some more of the decorations up in baby girl's room. It's so exciting I can't wait to finish it! Decorating for a girl is so much fun.
Miss anything? Same as usual.
Movement: Yes she has been moving a ton lately and I love it!
Food cravings:
Not really though I was craving a subway type sandwich today, I had this craving in the first trimester and made sourdough deli style veggie sandwiches for lunch everyday for a week!
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Eating too much! Not enough room in there!
Showing? Oh my....I cannot believe I still have 15 weeks to grow! It's actually kind of terrifying!
Gender: Baby girl!! <3
Labor signs: Pressure, tightness, etc. but not really labor signs.
Symptoms:
Mmm...see above.
Belly button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time:
Somewhat emotional, or I guess reflective lately.
Looking forward to: Finishing baby girl's room, and although it's a ways off now, the shower my sweet girlfriend Heather is throwing for me!
Baby’s size: A Cauliflower!

We missed week 24 but here is the 23 week bump photo!

Funny things at two years three months....

James and I are constantly talking about Micah's latest and greatest sayings and doings and we ALWAYS say "we have to write these down!" But of course we never do...because who has time?! I've forgotten most of them but I wanted to write some of them down before I forget.

Here goes:

If Micah wants Mama or Dada instead of the other (for example if it's daddy's turn to wake up with Micah and make him breakfast) he will say "Bye Dada, see you soon. Eat breakfast mommy." It's hilarious and very...subtle! ;)

Micah has heard James and I yell up or down the stairs for one another "baby" so now after his bath time with daddy when he is ready for me to come upstairs he'll yell from the top of the stairs "hey baby! " oh my goodness cutest thing ever.

Not sure how much they appreciate it but Micah loves basketball and gets super excited when other people are playing at the park. He'll yell enthusiastically "2 points!" when they make a shot, or "almost!" if they miss it.  😂

"Let's talk about it!." He'll sit down somewhere and say "let's talk about it," to get you to sit with him or he'll grab a book and I will say "oh do you want to read that?" and he'll say "let's talk about it!" So funny!

"Let's do that!" i.e. Micah do you want to go to the beach? And he yells excitedly "Yeah! Let's do that!" SO. CUTE.

"Quack, quack...how do you do?" Or alternately, "quack, quack how are you feeling?" Lol, we have a few guesses about the origin of this but we aren't quite sure.

"My do it!!!!" I'm sure almost every kid his age is saying this but it's just the funniest thing ever. From opening every door, to turning on the faucet, he's got it and don't you dare do it for him otherwise he will have to undo it and start from the beginning!

He loves his little Kitty stuffed animal his Auntie Cori got for him and he's been parenting "Meow" for the last couple weeks. He "dropped" Meow down the stairs picked him up and said "oh no, hurt?" and then he picked it up, kissed him and said "ok sweetie." HAH! He also always makes sure Meow has food to eat when he sits down to eat his lunch and will even wash his paws in the sink of his play kitchen when he's finished. He mimics a lot of what we do with him and has taken to saying at least once a day after giving Meow a big squeeze "I love you Meow!." So stinkin' adorable!

Whenever he sees or hears another child upset he gets this look of extreme concern on his face and says "baby sad!" He will often go to the other child and attempt to comfort them too, so sweet. The other day he heard a kid crying outside and he said "baby sad! Wants ice cream!"

Micah found his first crush, an older girl named Sophie who he followed around with the cutest little grin for a half an hour at the park.  When they were leaving she gave him a hug and he asked for a kiss!
