Oh boy, it's been awhile since our last update! So many things have happened so I won't even attempt to play catch up on everything but here's a few of our favorite things!
Micah is talking non-stop! We are loving every minute of his new ability to communicate with us verbally. Some of his most used words include: no, more (mo mo), poof (poop!), stuck, off (used very frequently-any time he wants down or wants something off), cook (used about every 5 minutes), woof, meow, moo, quack, blue, bowl, cup, spoon, box, clock, hot, brrrr, ow!, and many more!
He loves to dance and has some pretty killer moves! His personality shines through more everyday and we are discovering that he is quite the jokester! He loves to be silly and make people laugh and we find his humor to be very smart!
Micah's favorite thing ever right now is cooking. He LOVES helping mama in he kitchen, measuring and adding ingredients. Every morning the first thing he does is say "et's COOK!!!!!!!" with this hilarious little stance and power fist. We have no idea where the hand motion came from or why it's associated with cooking but we love it. He also loves to clean-especially the vacuum or broom. He demands that we vacuum several times a day and get's super excited whenever he sees it.
He could play in the sand at the beach, park, or in his sand table all day long. He absolutely loves it. He also loves the ocean and just wants to run straight in-no fear! Yesterday he had his first pony ride and was totally brave and happy to go off on his own without us right by his side.
Illnesses are running rampant this time of year and we are finding it hard to stay healthy! Micah had a stomach bug that had him vomiting for six days straight! It was so sad and terrifying-we ended up taking him to the hospital twice and he had to get an IV. It was such an awful experience but we felt very grateful it wasn't anything serious and that he got better on his own. Ever since we've been battling every cold possible-seems like the little just keep passing it back and forth between one another. It's so unbelievably hard to see your baby sick and in pain.

22-months
Where does the time go?? I can't believe our little guy is about to turn 2! He is talking up a storm, constantly dancing (he LOVES to listen to the Wiggles-especially Hot Potato!), playing the drums, cooking in his play kitchen, reading, jumping off the couch into a pile of pillows, and running around naked after diaper changes (while giggling hysterically!) He can count to ten and recognize various letters of the alphabet, he'll come up to me and point at my shirt and say "A" or "O". We try not to let him watch TV although we have when he is sick and he is obsessed with Daniel Tiger. He loves to jump and run! His favorite things in the world are going to the park and the beach. He has no fear of the water and would run straight into the ocean if we let him. His favorite animal seems to be a cat right now and he loves to read his Dr. Seuss books over an over! His favorite food is toast and he asks for it throughout the day "eat toast!" He loves family hugs before daddy leaves for work, applesauce and chia pudding, to help mama bake and eat cookies, stickers and coloring, wrestling with daddy, nursing with mama, and he still loves to help us clean! He is so much fun and has such a great sense of humor! He has talked about his Nana and Cass almost every single day since we left Colorado! "Nana house cold-brrr!" And he points to the computer and asks to Skype with them at least once a week-so sweet! He has really started to love playing with other kids and whenever he sees a child under about 15 he yells "baby!" He loves to chase the big kids around the park and mimic what they are doing-especially if they have scooters or skateboards! He recently saw two older girls doing handstands at the park and he started laughing with glee and ran up right next to them and put his head on the ground! He is still such a people person and blows kisses to the cashier at every store we go into when we leave. He loves to watch the "trash truck" come and loves to read his Little Blue Truck books. It's so fun watching his personality develop and being able to communicate with him a little better every day.
