Sleep: Never enough!
Best moment this week: We finished putting together the dresser and I am excited to start putting together the nursery, I have a couple more items to buy for the gallery wall before I can put it all together but I am in the planning stages! We also had a fun memorial day beach day with friends. I want to upload photos but my computer is still out of commission and I don't want to overload hubby's computer!
Miss anything? Not feeling huge, unlimited coffee...wine!
Movement: Yes!! So fun!
Food cravings:
Pretty much back to normal eating but much less motivated to cook!
Anything making you queasy or sick:
Nope!
Showing? Oh my goodness....it's a little ridiculous at this point. I can't believe we still have 18 weeks to grow!
Gender: Girl! Although I did have a woman in a class at work who was convinced by my belly shape that I was wrong and it was a boy....I have to admit, even though she was a little cuckoo, it scared me a little!

Fully belly, getting harder to move around
Belly button in or out? very much out and showing through shirts...

21 Weeks Pregnancy Update

How far along? 21 weeks!!
Total weight gain:  ≈ 7-8  lbs depending on the day! ;)
Maternity clothes? I rarely change out of workout clothes or yoga pants except for on the days I work and weekends, but on those days...yes! Finding outfits for work is increasingly difficult as I don't have any maternity work pants. I have been wearing a maxi skirt at almost every shift or one of my super cozy target maternity dresses. I need some better shoes though!
Stretch marks? No, still slathering on my earth mama oils and hoping they stay away!
Sleep: Pretty good
Best moment this week: Well I missed the update for week 18 when we found out we are having a GIRL!!! That was by far the best moment but since then I have been having so much picking out her room decor (mint, light coral, white, and grey with some gold accents) and a feather/tribal theme. My mama is going to make her a patchwork blanket and Lind is going to make her a dream catcher mobile! Soooooo excited! We were blessed with two huge bags of girls clothes (as well as a ton of boy clothes from Micah's cousin K2!!). We mostly got 6 months clothes for baby girl so little by little I am buying some girl's clothing and am just loving every minute of it! Poor daddy, he knew this was coming with a girl! We put together her crib last weekend and hope to put the dresser together this coming weekend. I just want to decorate that nursery!!
Miss anything? I've been copying and pasting my 21 week updates from my pregnancy with Micah to compare the difference and I am going to leave what I had for him:the energy & stamina to do my workouts! Everything is so much harder! It really is incredible how much more effort it takes to do the most basic workouts!
Movement: YES!! I am so excited to finally feel baby GIRL move! It started around the end of week 18 and has been getting more noticeable and frequent ever since. I absolutely love it!
Food cravings:
No intense cravings really but still enjoying my favorite pastime, eating chocolate chips while reading a great book! Ahh comfort! Still loving fruit watermelon, peaches, strawberries, grapes....mmmm! Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really
Showing? YES!!!
Gender: Girl!!!!! <3 <3 <3
Labor signs:  No
Symptoms:
Abdominal/ligament pain, ITCHY skin, easily winded, full belly!
Belly button in or out? proud and out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time:
A little sensitive and quicker to tears or feelings of sadness but also a lot of happiness and excitement.
Looking forward to: Putting the nursery together! Also my sisters Angie and Cassidy are coming to visit for three days! Can't wait to have a sister reunion!
Baby’s size: Pomegranate!
I am so bummed because my computer completely crashed and I had to wipe my hard drive clean. I lost several months worth of pictures including some maternity shots as I hadn't backed up since January! :( Thankfully, I have some saved on this blog and a few on the digital camera.

Here are some photos from the last couple weeks...just missing week 19 from the computer crash!

17 weeks

How far along? 17 weeks
Total weight gain:  Between 4 and 5 lbs
Maternity clothes? Everyday! I'm loving the stretchy dresses I got from Target, I could wear them everyday!
Stretch marks? Not that I can tell....I am using Earth Mama stretch oil this pregnancy and hoping I am as lucky as I was with Micah.
Sleep: Could be better, my back has been hurting which makes it hard to get comfortable...oh and peeing every 15 minutes doesn't help either! ;)
Best moment this week: Fun times with some girlfriends this week. On Saturday I got the day off while daddy and Micah hung out. I got a mani-pedi, attended Danica's baby shower, and then went to dress up Bunco with the stroller strides mamas. Fun and busy day!
Missing anything? I sure was at all of those parties!
Movement: Not really, I thought I was a bit before but now I am wishing I could feel something. It's always nice to know baby is doing great in there.
Food cravings:
I ate everything in site this weekend but lately I am really into watermelon and other fruit and I've still got a thing for those vegan grilled cheese sandwiches...but I am trying to limit!Anything making you queasy or sick: My back was making me feel nauseous this week, not sure what's going on. It's gotten much worse since I've started seeing the chiropractor.
Showing? No doubt about it!
Gender: This countdown is feeling like it's taking forever but we find out in 8 DAYS!!!!!!!

Some round ligament pain and extreme appetite!
Belly button in or out? Lost cause.

Baby #2! 15 Week Update

How far along? 15 weeks
Total weight gain: 1.8 lbs (strangely enough,  the exact same weight I had gained with Micah at 15 weeks! However, I am soon much bigger! My belly has popped and I started out 7 lbs heavier at the beginning of the pregnancy....boo!)
Maternity clothes? Yes, I've needed my maternity pants for quite awhile now! This pregnancy is so different...I feel so much "more pregnant!"
Stretch marks? Slathering, hoping, and praying that they stay away!
Sleep: Peeing 500 times a night but other than that...good!
Best moment this week: After only a week of "retirement" after my job cut per diem hours I may have some opportunities coming up! On Thursday I had a meeting with the CEO and Chief Nursing Officer of Hoag and I may be asked to help them create a weight loss program! Also, two hours after I got home from that meeting I got a phone call from the Orange County ADA at Kaiser and I may be able to pick up some shifts doing what I was doing before much closer to home! Woo hoo, not a bad day at all! :)
Miss anything? I have been allowing myself a bit of coffee now and then but I definitely miss my big coffees and having a glass of red wine while I cook dinner....
Movement: There have been a couple times when I have thought I felt something but I'm not positive.
Food cravings:
Similar cravings to when I was pregnant with Micah but I feel like I am eating way more this time around! The other night I had pickles and pineapple...hah! Also, Micah and I got on an ice cream cone (or ice cone as he calls it) kick this week. I made his with processed frozen bananas and an organic cone...mine had mint chocolate chip!
Anything making you queasy or sick:
I'm just going to leave what I wrote this week for my last pregnancy because it's exactly the same!! My nausea has gotten much better this week, thank goodness! I get waves of it sometimes at night or first thing in the morning but it is pretty brief/mild now. Still feeling very sensitive to smells (I'm looking at you hubby!)
Showing? Oh my goodness....I look about the size I did when I was 26 weeks pregnant with Micah ...it's crazy!
Gender: Don't know yet! But I did schedule our anatomy scan for the first week of May! woo hoo! I can't wait to find out the gender so we can plan!
Labor signs:  No
Symptoms:
Up to this week the nausea has been so awful all day but it has begun to subside thankfully. I am having  a ton of round ligament pain and some sharp pains that can be sort of scary. My emotions seem to be stabilizing a bit but I still feel very quickly sent to tears!
Belly button in or out? Sadly it never fully went back in.....but seriously as soon as I started to pop around 8 weeks my belly button was poking out!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time:
I guess both, pretty happy but some moody moments.
Looking forward to: The anatomy scan so we can find out the gender , be told baby is doing great, and set up the nursery!!!
Baby’s fruit size: A navel orange

This is the first update I've been able to squeeze in but here are some past bump photos!

"Two Old"

My baby turned two years old today! If you ask him how old he is he will tell you "TWO OLD!" Too old...ain't that the truth! I can't believe how quickly these past two years have rushed by. The days sometimes felt very long, but it feels like just yesterday that he was a brand new baby in our arms smiling for the first time. Now he is talking up a storm, has the funniest little personality, and very much wants his autonomy. He says so many things now I can't keep track but some of my favorite are  "hold you" or "help you" when he wants to be held or if he needs help with something. All day long I hear "Mama weeeeaaaad" when he wants me to read his book, or "meow" for his favorite little kitty who is never far from his side, "mooooooooonkey" his giant monkey stuffed animal that is bigger than him, "eat toast," whenever he wants to eat. He had a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party at Atlantis Park yesterday so for the past couple weeks we've talked A LOT about "Doc Seuss" and "Upcakes." He could live at the park-he loves to run and climb and see other babies (anyone under 15 pretty much). All day we hear, "Park! Babies!" He loves to go to the daycare at mama's small gym and play with the other kiddos and run around. He loves to run, be chased and tickled, hide (face planting in a few chosen locations whenever he is avoiding a diaper change, clothes change, bedtime etc.), demands to listen to "Hot Potato" by the Wiggles at least 20 times a day, and even requests it as a lullaby at bedtime. Mama recently weaned Micah off all nursing sessions, which was surprisingly less traumatic than anticipated! Micah really loves his milkis but he's handled the new change like a champ! He lifts mama's shirt and kisses the baby in her belly, loves to give hugs (even to strangers at parks..but he saves the best tight bear-hugs for mama and daddy), and says "hi" and "bye" to everyone he sees, getting as close to them as possible and excitedly waving and saying it over and over. He is the light of our days, he is so funny and sweet and even though this age can be very challenging we can't have but marvel at what a gift he is every single day. Thank you for making me  a mama two years ago today baby boy-I had no idea what I was in for and I look forward to every single day with you, getting to know you more and more and watching your personality and light shine and unfold. You are such a kind, loving, goofy, adventurous, thoughtful, focused, rambunctious, and wise little buggy. I love you to pieces baby boy! Happy, Happy Birthday.

20 Months

Oh boy, it's been awhile since our last update! So many things have happened so I won't even attempt to play catch up on everything but here's a few of our favorite things!

Micah is talking non-stop! We are loving every minute of his new ability to communicate with us verbally. Some of his most used words include: no, more (mo mo), poof (poop!), stuck, off (used very frequently-any time he wants down or wants something off), cook (used about every 5 minutes), woof, meow, moo, quack, blue, bowl, cup, spoon, box, clock, hot, brrrr, ow!, and many more!

He loves to dance and has some pretty killer moves! His personality shines through more everyday and we are discovering that he is quite the jokester! He loves to be silly and make people laugh and we find his humor to be very smart!

Micah's favorite thing ever right now is cooking. He LOVES helping mama in he kitchen, measuring and adding ingredients. Every morning the first thing he does is say "et's COOK!!!!!!!" with this hilarious little stance and power fist. We have no idea where the hand motion came from or why it's associated with cooking but we love it. He also loves to clean-especially the vacuum or broom. He demands that we vacuum several times a day and get's super excited whenever he sees it.

He could play in the sand at the beach, park, or in his sand table all day long. He absolutely loves it. He also loves the ocean and just wants to run straight in-no fear! Yesterday he had his first pony ride and was totally brave and happy to go off on his own without us right by his side.

Illnesses are running rampant this time of year and we are finding it hard to stay healthy! Micah had a stomach bug that had him vomiting for six days straight! It was so sad and terrifying-we ended up taking him to the hospital twice and he had to get an IV. It was such an awful experience but we felt very grateful it wasn't anything serious and that he got better on his own. Ever since we've been battling every cold possible-seems like the little just keep passing it back and forth between one another. It's so unbelievably hard to see your baby sick and in pain.

22-months

Where does the time go?? I can't believe our little guy is about to turn 2! He is talking up a storm,  constantly dancing (he LOVES to listen to the Wiggles-especially Hot Potato!), playing the drums, cooking in his play kitchen, reading, jumping off the couch into a pile of pillows, and running around naked after diaper changes (while giggling hysterically!) He can count to ten and recognize various letters of the alphabet, he'll come up to me and point at my shirt and say "A" or "O". We try not to let him watch TV although we have when he is sick and he is obsessed with Daniel Tiger. He loves to jump and run! His favorite things in the world are going to the park and the beach. He has no fear of the water and would run straight into the ocean if we let him. His favorite animal seems to be a cat right now and he  loves to read his Dr. Seuss books over an over! His favorite food is toast and he asks for it throughout the day "eat toast!" He loves family hugs before daddy leaves for work, applesauce and chia pudding, to help mama bake and eat cookies, stickers and coloring, wrestling with daddy, nursing with mama, and he still loves to help us clean! He is so much fun and has such a great sense of humor! He has talked about his Nana and Cass almost every single day since we left Colorado! "Nana house cold-brrr!" And he points to the computer and asks to Skype with them at least once a week-so sweet! He has really started to love playing with other kids and whenever he sees a child under about 15 he yells "baby!" He loves to chase the big kids around the park and mimic what they are doing-especially if they have scooters or skateboards! He recently saw two older girls doing handstands at the park and he started laughing with glee and ran up right next to them and put his head on the ground! He is still such a people person and blows kisses to the cashier at every store we go into when we leave. He loves to watch the "trash truck" come and loves to read his Little Blue Truck books. It's so fun watching his personality develop and being able to communicate with him a little better every day.
