11/29 Micah's first train ride at Tom's Farms in Corona (we also bought some furniture, cuz it seemed appropriate to buy a sofa from a pioneer-themed market and fair). We went with Uncle Anthony, Auntie Maggie, and Cousin Anabelle.
11/30 Micah's first rainy day outside - he loved watching it rain on the patio with daddy!
12/2 The forever remembered sleep-refusal stare-down party during a late night dinner

12/5 Micah's first trip to zoo...the very teeny, tiny zoo in Irvine Regional park! He saw his first bear and Mountain Lion....rawr!
12/6 Micah's first grocery trip in the cart! Mama usually wears him in the carrier when they go grocery shopping but he is big enough to sit in the cart now! Micah loved looking around and smiling at everyone in the store. In other news....he also rolled off the bed today and got a swollen nose and lip! Mama felt soooo awful! He wakes up every time mama tries to set him down on the crib so a lot of his naps happen in the middle of the big bed where mama can nurse him to sleep and then sneak away. Micah is much too mobile and roly-poly these days-he rolled right off the end of the bed without making any noise (until he fell of course!) Poor little guy!
12/10 Micah-is-a-movin! He has his army crawl down and is making his way around the living room. Mama and daddy are currently house hunting for a bigger place so he has some room to roam!
12/17 Micah is definitely mobile these days...he alternates between a regular crawl (only a few "steps" so far) and his army crawl. BUT, his army crawl has gotten fast! He now ends up halfway down the hallway in a matter of seconds. He also has an uncanny ability to find the things we do not want him to play with. Plastic bags....cords....random pieces found on the floor. Our house has only been on the market a few days and we've already had multiple showings and one offer. We are feeling nostalgic about leaving our first home, where we brought home our first child. We really loved this place but we have definitely outgrown it!
12/18 Micah's first plane ride! He did great! He fell asleep on mama in the beco carrier while waiting to board the flight. We woke him up so he could nurse on take off (to help his ears) and he nursed a little and then decided he was awake. He only fussed for a bit and then took another nap. He loved the man sitting next to us and kept smiling and him and trying to engage him. He is such a people person!
12/21 9 months today! Micah has been loving Colorado and getting tons of attention from nana, his aunties, and cousins. He is constantly in arms, has tons of new toys to play with, and loves checking out his new environment. Since we have arrived he has honed his crawling skills and can crawl clear across the floor on his hands and knees. He still prefers his army crawl but can now move from him tummy and back into a sitting position, can sit on his knees, and is pulling himself to a standing position. When did our little guy get so big?! He met Santa on the 19th and wasn't scared at all! He just stared right in his eyes and checked out his big fuzzy beard. His sleep schedule has been completely bonkers since we've arrived but we are having such a nice time! We love that Micah is getting to know mama's family and we finally got some snow this evening!
